StacksAtlas LLC ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data when you use the StacksAtlas software application and stacksatlas.com.
StacksAtlas is designed as a strict on-premise appliance. Network scan data, device inventory, and classification metadata collected by the software remains locally on your machine or server. We do not transmit your network map or device details to our cloud.
Free portable mode (Windows, macOS, Docker) runs as a session scanner with no license key. Business mode requires a one-time license activation. Neither mode uploads device lists to StacksAtlas LLC.
You may optionally register via our $0 Lemon Squeezy checkout to receive release updates by email. This is not required to download the free portable builds from our CDN.
We use Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a Business license, your payment information is processed entirely by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We do not store credit card details.
MAC vendor names are resolved locally using embedded IEEE Registration Authority MA-L/OUI assignment data and other fingerprint databases (e.g. Rapid7 Recog). This lookup happens on your appliance: MAC addresses are not sent to IEEE or Rapid7. See our open-source attributions.
Certain features (such as Deep Scanning) may require the independent installation of third-party drivers like Npcap or Nmap. These components are not bundled with StacksAtlas and are subject to their own respective privacy policies.
stacksatlas.com does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on documentation pages. Optional Lemon Squeezy checkout on the home page is subject to Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy when you complete that flow.
You may download database snapshots and CSV/PDF exports from your appliance. Those files contain network inventory you control. Secure them according to your organization's data policies.
