Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using StacksAtlas ("Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software. These terms are an agreement between you and StacksAtlas LLC.
2. License Grant
- Free / Community (Portable): Open source under the MIT License (github.com/keatonstacks/StacksAtlas-Community). Session scanner for Windows, macOS, and Docker with unlimited discovery. Free to run, inspect, and modify per the MIT terms.
- Business ($40): Commercial always-on appliance with persistent database, background monitoring, automated alerts, SIEM logging, and Hub federation. Perpetual license per machine.
3. Commercial Restrictions
For commercial Business editions and installers (MSI, Mac LaunchDaemon, Central Hub), you may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble proprietary commercial modules; (b) rent, lease, or sub-license commercial builds; (c) bypass or tamper with license validation mechanisms. Open-source core components remain governed by the MIT License.
3. Acceptable Use
You may use StacksAtlas only on networks you own or are explicitly authorized to monitor. You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws, workplace policies, and third-party terms (including optional tools such as Nmap, Npcap, or Tailscale).
4. License Transfer
Business licenses are locked to a hardware ID at activation. To move an appliance, deactivate the license in the Lemon Squeezy customer portal from your order email, then activate the same key on the new machine.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
6. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL STACKSATLAS LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
