Reporting & Analytics
StacksAtlas transforms raw network data into actionable executive deliverables. The reporting engine is designed to bridge the gap between technical metrics and stakeholder communication.
Executive Reports
The "Generate Report" function produces a high-fidelity PDF document suitable for client handoffs, audits, or C-suite presentations.
Report Components
- Executive Summary: A high-level dashboard showing total asset counts, vendor distribution, and an overall Network Health Grade.
- Asset Inventory: A detailed, tabular list of every device, including IP, MAC, Vendor, Name, and Firmware Version (where available). Reports now include Security Grade (A-F) and Open Port Count for immediate hygiene assessment.
- Governance Log: A record of which user generated the report and the timestamp, ensuring a chain of custody for the data.
- DHCP Histograms: A visual breakdown of IP address churn and MAC persistence, powered by the Lease Detective.
- Smart Sorting: All reports use numerical IP sorting (e.g.,
.2before.10) to ensure logical network flow. - Security Hygiene Grading: A list of high-risk assets (e.g., Legacy OS or default credentials) identified during scans.
Visual Forensics: Sparklines
To prove network stability—or instability—StacksAtlas embeds Raster Sparklines into the interface and reports.
- What they are: Micro-charts representing the latency (ping time) of a device over the last hour.
- Value: a text log saying "Packet Loss: 2%" is abstract. A sparkline showing a jagged, erratic line provides visual proof of a problem.
Alert Intelligence
StacksAtlas includes a centralized Notification Center acting as an audit log for network events.
Types of Alerts
- Device Offline/Online: Critical infrastructure status changes.
- Stability Degradation: When a device's Stability Score drops below a configured threshold (e.g., 80%).
- New Device Found: Security alerts when unknown hardware joins the network.
Notification History
Unlike transient push notifications, StacksAtlas keeps a searchable history of all alerts.
- Filter & Search: Quickly find when a specific server went offline last week.
- Bulk Acknowledge: Clear operational noise while preserving the history for audits.
